Continent - any of the world's main continuous expanses of land
Country - a nation with it's own government, occupying a particular territory
Absolute location - specific location using coordinates
Cartography - the art of map making
Compass Rose - tells directions on a map (NEWS)
Latitude - the angular distance of a place north or south of the Earth's equator
Longitude - angular distance of a place east or west of the prime meridian
Migration - moving to a new location for the purpose of settlement
Relative Location - descriptive location
Scale - Shows distance on a map
Map Title - Title on a map
Push Factor - Negative factors that cause a person to leave their home
Pull Factor - positive factors that cause a person to move to a new home
Human-Environment Interaction - how people adapt, modify and depend on their environment
Location - Tells you where in the world you are
Movement - how people, goods, and ideas are moved around the world
Place - a place is defined by the things in it
Region - how is a place similar or different, defined by human, cultural or physical characteristics
Physical Map - map that shows physical features (elevation, waterways etc.)
Political Map - map that shows political boundaries (state border, country borders etc.)
